작품 <독수공방 獨水空房>은 본래 작가의 작업실에 물을 채우고 배를 한 척 띄웠던 설치 작업을 사진으로 기록한 것이다. 작가의 삶의 공간인 작업실을 직접적인 표현 수단으로 사용하여 작가 본인의 사회로부터의 이탈과 표류의 감정을 전달하고자 기획되었다. 그러나 개인적인 이야기로 시작된 작업은 작품을 보는 관객이 크게 다르지 않을 그들의 삶, 그들의 미래에 대한 두려움과 살아가며 느끼는 사회로부터의 고립감을 하나의 심상적 풍경으로서 목도하게 함으로 그 의미가 확장된다.

The work ‘Alone Water Empty Room’ is originally the work recorded photographically by the installation work that was installed after the artist’s studio was filled with water and a boat was set afloat on it, and it is designed to communicate emotions of deviation and drift in an artists’s own normal society, using the studio, an artists’s space for life, or the exhibition space as a direct art medium.
The work was starting from the personal story, but the audience’s life looking at the works which seems to be not greatly different from it, and the meaning expands ,by experiencing their worries about future and sense of isolation from society as they are living a life as a human being, as one picturesque scene.
